About

AZ Fall Ball is a satellite website by AZHardball.com that focuses on all of the action from the Arizona Fall League. While AZ Hardball will continue to provide all baseball footage, you will be able to visit AZ Fall Ball for all of your Fall League updates.

DSC_0477The Arizona Fall League was founded in 1992 to give up-coming prospects the opportunity to play fall ball before gearing up for Spring Training. It is an opportunity for the young stars to get a head start by getting some playing time in ahead of time. It is often referred to as a hidden gem by baseball fans who make trips to Arizona to see these talented young stars play. Attendees include hardcore baseball fans, team management, scouts and player family members. As the league continues to grow in popularity, so does the number of talented prospects that come out of the program.

Players that have performed in fall ball include hundreds of all-stars, numerous MVPs, Cy Young award winners and other award recipients. The middle of the league schedule is highlighted by the annual Rising Stars game where future All-Stars square off for a scrimmage game where a stipend is awarded to the winning team. The league is made of six teams that play in five stadiums across the Phoenix Metro area.
